Janice's company offers a collection of musical CD greeting cards for all occasions, but it was her Cat Lover music cards that really caught our attention, so naturally we wanted to learn more. Here is that conversation.

Janice, tell us about Happy 2B A Cat Lover Music Cards.

Happy 2B A Cat Lover is the "next step" in greeting cards. It's a novelty item that says, "I'm thinking about you" in many ways. Happy 2B A Cat Lover is just one of the many themes available. Each CD contains four original songs in a cute and colorful self-mailer with the lyrics printed on the package, and space for your personalized message. The words are clever and the tunes are so catchy that you can't resist singing them to your cat!

What inspired you to come up with this concept?

I've always loved sending and receiving cards in the mail, but after I read them they would be put on a shelf for a day or two and then thrown away.

I began thinking about how I could expand that experience. Everyone loves receiving cards and most people love music, so why not put the two together? When I first came up with the concept, my thoughts were "within the box" -- standard cards like birthdays, having a baby, anniversary, engagement, etc. However, there are many reasons we're Happy2B and they all should be acknowledged and celebrated... being a cat lover is just one of them. Now you get to read the sentiments, be entertained and have a keepsake all in one!

What kind of occasions are your cards suitable for?

You can send Happy 2B A Cat Lover music cards for EVERY occasion. They can be used as a celebration card for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or just to say I'm thinking of you. They even make a great holiday stocking stuffer for that special cat lover, and can be a great promotional tool for businesses to send to their customers...possibly to announce specials, discounts or just to say thanks for shopping with us.

Who actually writes the music and lyrics?

As a composer, I'm proud to say that my songs have been published and heard throughout Asia and aired on radio stations throughout the USA. I work with extremely talented writers, arrangers and recording artists.

Tell us about the songs included in the card.

The songs included in Happy 2B A Cat Lover music cards range from country to rap. The first song, Cat's Meow, shares the devotion of the cat owner for their pet. Cat Tails is a country western sing-a-long that pokes fun at the unconditional love we have for our cats. Kool Kat Swing is a rap about different cat personalities, and finally I Love My Cat is an over-the-top homage to our feline best friend.

Do you have any other animal lover products?

Presently, there is Happy 2B A Dog Lover that also celebrates the relationship between people and their canine best friends, with more on the way!
