Flower Essences for Your Cat

Every now and then in life we find a product that hits from behind and just surprises us to no belief. This just happened to me in the last six months! I have been waiting to tell you all about this wonderful find, but I wanted to keep using this product on myself and my three boys so I could test it. I can finally come to you today with what I believe has helped me and my boys to no end!

When I first met Polly Fox, the founder and owner of Pet Essences and Energetic Essences (for people), I was going to have her on my radio show. In order to come on, she very much wanted me to try her products for four weeks before the show. I told her about my one Yorkie that for the last seven years has had to live on ½ a valium a day because nothing else had worked! Within three days, I kid you not (and please know each individual’s results will vary), Cappy was not only totally off of his valium but he was happy again! To my great surprise, I and my boys after six months are still taking our flower essences. To my even greater surprise, Cappy has not had one valium in six months!

A dewdrop glistening on a flower petal in the early morning sun is nature’s own flower essence. Animals love to lick them off! Pet Essences are like dewdrops in a bottle; kept there so that you can use them when you need them, even if you are not out walking in the garden.

All animals have emotions, attitudes and personalities just like people, and cats are super sensitive. They are very receptive and responsive to flower essences. We have four resident cats here at the home of Pet Essences; Tyko, Zoe, Cleo and Flakka. Each one has special needs, and although they have formed a cat family over the past years, they remain individuals. So, we use lots of our flower essences to help them through emotional shifts and occasional physical upsets. I should also mention that they live with our 80 percent Mexican wolf, Tara.

When one member of our animal family needs a flower essence, we usually put a few drops in his or her bowl of drinking water. No harm comes if the wrong one is selected and when the other cats drink from the same bowl that’s O.K. too, because nothing changes if that cat does not need any of the flowers.

Our Homeopathic vet and his wife rescued Flakka from an abandoned adobe house when she was just weeks old and hours from death. Even though that was years ago, she still has occasional upper respiratory problems, and so we put the Respiratory formula in the drinking water bowl. She gets the benefits every time she takes a drink and no harm comes to the other cats. The more frequently a dose is ingested or absorbed through the skin the sooner changes can occur.

Since cats are so sensitive, most seem calmer and less anxious when they are given Emotional Stability. This formula can be used alone and mixed with each of the other formulas. Many cats are using our Anxiety/Fear mixed with Emotional Stability. If your cat is shy and runs from people, this combination should help. But if your kitty gets aggressive, also using Out of Control might be necessary.

Tara often has Skeletal Support or Paralysis Plus and Pain Relief in her water bowl to help an old knee injury. Since the cats like to drink from her water, they are also getting the benefits of these formulas. Since many clients call asking for help with an older cat’s leg problems, our cats seem to be getting help for this problem even before it develops.

Many cats have urinary problems.
