Free Cat Food Samples

From LoveToKnow Cats

Try free cat food samples is a good way to find a food that helps your pet thrive. Many manufacturers are happy to give samples because it helps sell their product.

Read the Fine Print

Whether you are printing out an online coupon, filling out a form or using a coupon from a magazine, be sure to read the fine print. Many times the offer has an expiration date and a maximum allowable purchase. There may be other requirements to meet as well. People can lose out on their free cat food samples merely because they neglected to read the fine print and understand the limits of the offer.

Some stores have stopped accepting coupons that are printed off the Internet because of so many fraudulent coupons in the past. Check with your favorite locations to see if they have a policy regarding coupons.

Where to Find Free Cat Food Samples

There are a number of ways to find cat food samples. One of the best is to use a search engine and see what the Internet has to offer. If you find a free sample, fill the forms out immediately; you may not be able to find the offer again, or it could expire.

Another way to get samples is to go to manufacturers’ websites and ask. Most manufacturers are happy to send you a sample of their product even if that is not stated on their website. Let them know that you have heard of their product and are eager to see if it is the right one for your pet. You don’t lose anything by asking; they can only say yes or no.

Still another way to try various cat foods is to ask for samples at your pet supply store or local feed store. Manufacturer representatives sometimes leave sample packs with the store manager. These can be handed out with a purchase, or they may be held back for those customers that request them. Don’t be shy about asking for sample packs.

Websites That Offer Samples and Coupons

Coupon and sample offers change often. What is available one day may be expired the next. The Internet, more so than any other media, moves from one thing to the next very quickly. Plan on checking websites often to see if they have what you want. Once or twice a week is the best; if you wait any longer than that you may find that the samples have run out or the offer has expired.

Be aware that the following websites change often and the samples that are available as of this writing may have changed. You can do your own searches by using the following terms in Google, Yahoo, or other search engines:

  • Free cat food
  • Cat food samples
  • Free samples
  • Free pet foods
  • (Insert manufacturer’s name or the name of the cat food) free samples

Here are a few websites to try.

  • Free Mania is a site with hundreds of offers for free samples of all types. Spend some time looking through all of the samples to see other things you may be interested in.
  • Best Free Stuff has a large selection of free samples of all sorts from pet food to cosmetics.
  • Flint River Ranch is a company that makes premium pet foods and they have a sample offer onsite.
  • Purina Naturals occasionally offers samples of their natural pet foods.
  • Freebie Finder changes often. It has links to many different offers for all types of products.
  • Luv My Critters has an ever changing listing of free sample and coupon offers.

While technically you might be able to feed your cat for an indefinite period of time using coupons and free samples, most veterinarians recommend that you find a food that your pet does well on and stick with it. Too much change can cause an animal to be finicky about her food or even give her digestive problems.

Once you find a food that your cat loves and that seems to work well for her, use it exclusively. Feeding your pet free cat food samples is one way to save money as you try out a number of different brands. Talk to your vet about any concerns or questions you may have regarding your cat’s dietary needs.

Hi Margarita,

We actually don't provide samples through the site, but if you contact the food manufacturers they will get them to you. Be careful about switching around foods too much though as kittens and cats in general have sensitive digestive systems. Your best bet is probably to find out what type of food they were on before they came to you, get a few samples to make sure it is what you want to keep them on and then gradually make the switch if you and they prefer something else. Good luck raising your new babies. They sound adorable.
