Salmon Samples Cat Treats

Salmon Samples cats treats make a wonderful Halloween treat for your cat, but you can serve them anytime you want to give your cat something special.

Halloween is approaching very quickly and like most of you, I'm sure, my pets and I are getting ready for the big night. Although I don't have cats myself, I was talking to my assistant Ruthie about her cats the other day, and we got to thinking, "Why should people get to have all the fun?" Just because cats don't get to go trick or treating, that doesn't mean they wouldn't enjoy a special treat, and have I got a recipe for you!

Most cats love salmon, and although it's rich, it contains Omega-3 fatty acids that are good for felines. Cats also like a few greens now and then, so I've included some of those as well. Just be sure that your greens are chemical-free. It's better to use grass from one of those potted cat grass kits than grass from a lawn that might have been exposed to pesticides and car exhaust, so be careful about your source. Organically grown greens are always a good choice.

What you'll wind up with is a healthy, mouth watering treat your cat will instantly go nuts over. Now as I've said, this recipe makes a great Halloween treat for your cat, but you can serve these salmon samples cat treats for other special occasions. Offer your cat a few on his or her birthday, or maybe even serve some on Valentine's Day to show your love. You can also whip up a batch and use them as a reward when training a new cat to use the litter box. I'm sure you can think of many occasions when a special treat is in order, so go ahead and make a practice batch. If your cat finds them irresistible, you'll know you have a winner!

  7. Place your little salmon samples on the cookie sheet by half-teaspoonfuls, and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool and serve. These treats will store in the refrigerator for up to five days. They can also be frozen for up to one month.
