Hi Frances,
She is still very trainable. It is likely that she sees what she is doing as playing. Keep doing what you are doing, but replace your hand and such with a toy that she can bit to her heart's content. She will calm down a lot after she is a year or two old too, but she needs to know that biting isn't acceptable.
Keep doing what you're doing, add the toys and talk to your vet about declawing options, if that is something you are interested in. Declawing should not make her mean, but it can be painful for the cat. You just have to weight the pros and cons and make the decision that's best for your family.
-- Contributed by: LoriSoardmorning. i adopted a 'morris' look alike about 2 weeks ago from the local animal shelter. i want to be a successful owner, but i have concerns. "kitkat" wants to bite and scratch while in my lap. being a 'training freek' i have said no to her. i have also sprayed her when she used her claws on my firniture. she is sweet otherwise, but she is about 6 months old, given up by owners who had too many cats. is she set in her ways. after i spend money on her claws, will she become an agressive BITER? owners had he spay.
-- Contributed by: FrancesHi Mandy,
If the bag was marked, then the company should donate a percentage each time that product is purchased. You don't have to do anything else. It is a wonderful program!
-- Contributed by: LoriSoardI really think that this is a great thing that Morris is doing. I really hope that we can reach a million!!!! It would be so exciting. I bought some 9Lives cat food because it said on the bag," We're making a donation every time you buy 9Lives products!" I wasn't for sure if i was suppose to login something online to tell people that i bought 9Lives products. If anyone knows you can tell me! Thanks! And GOOD LUCK MORRIS!!!!! MANDY

That does sound like fun. This site simply features an interview on this topic. To contact the organization, you will need to visit their website at www.1.9lives.com. Good luck!
-- Contributed by: LoriSoardHi, I work at Hinsdale Humane Society, the shelter where the original Morris the cat is from. We had such a great time last year with the Bus Tour, we are hoping you'll come back to visit us and we can work with you again to help get more cats/kittens adopted and help Morris reach his million cat rescue adoption mark. Can you please let me know how we can join you again this year. Thanks much!
-- Contributed by: Laura DonohueHi, Donna,
You got to meet Morris in person? How exciting. I went and looked it up, just out of curiosity, to see where he might be appearing next. It seems Randy Jackson, of American Idol fame, has joined the tour. I wonder if he'll start saying, "Yo, cat!" instead of "Yo, dog!" Sorry, couldn't resist. The website gives a wealth of information.
-- Contributed by: LoriSoardI was so happy to meet you at the Westchester Cat Show, last month. You've been my Cat Hero since the 70's and you gets a paws up for running this amazing adoption campaign!
-- Contributed by: DonnaHi, all. This is a wonderful mission. We have an animal shelter calico and she is a wonderful cat.
-- Contributed by: LoriSoardI've always loved you Morris! Ever since I was a wee toddler! Thanks for caring about your fellow kitties and not forgetting your roots. :)
