Hi Dee,

Sounds like a wonderful cat. It's possible she may have wandered from home or gotten loose on a move or road trip. Sometimes cats can wander far from home. Whatever the cir...stances, she sounds like a great cat. I'm glad you found her.

10 years ago I discovered a kitten by the side of the road in West Texas. Only recently did I learn she's a snowshoe - but she has the most intelligence of any cat who's owned me, and beautiful sapphire eyes too. I don't know how anyone could just abandon an animal, but a pure-bred kitten? She was missing a bit of her tail and starving but I couldn't bear to leaver her out in the cold - and she's my best friend of a decade now :)

"Her majesty" loves water, loves to follow me around and cuddle, but definitely an 'only' cat.

She sounds like a wonderful cat. The Snowshoes are absolutely gorgeous cats. The white marks on their faces are very distinctive too. It's good to know that they get along well with other animals too, at least in general :)

We adopted a Snowshoe from rescue last year and she is the sweetest, most loving cat. I wanted a Siamese at first but shied away a little because I've heard how demanding they can be. The Snowshoe is almost like "Siamese lite." We also have a dog and they get along very well.
